We've sent in entries for the "BB" meet on May 18-20 at COPS / Plano.
Reports on which events your swimmers will be swimming in are on our
website. The Entries Reports are also showing for the "A" meet this weekend
at DM / SMU Outdoor Pool in Dallas.

The entries deadline for the "A/BB" meet at Tyler is a little earlier so
that our coaching staff can plan accordingly since it will be an overnight
stay. While this is not a "travel meet" (ie, not a bus meet) we think the
kids will still enjoy getting out of the usual metroplex pools and staying
overnight.

For our newer, younger, more novice competitors the information for the June
"B/C" meet is now available online. It is going to be June 9-10 at the
Duncanville HS Natatorium, hosted by South West Aquatics of Texas (SWAT).
There are not many meets during the summer for the youngest kids, so we hope
you can go to this one and the championships that will be at the end of
July. Your swimmer's coach can pick out events and let you know if they are
ready. The meet is only for swimmers aged 12 & under and is "short course",
ie, in a 25-yard pool instead of the 50-meter long course "big pool" they
are training in now. Meet info is available on our web Swim Meet Signups and
also at the North Texas Swimming website at http://www.ntswim.org .

Masters, it's time to start planning now if you would like to go to the 2008
FINA World Masters Championships. The time standards have been eased to
ensure that plenty of people fly to Melbourne, Australia for what they are
calling a "corker of a meet". Time standards for the meet are posted at
WGAC. This should give you a year to come up with the qualifying times,
money AND rationale why you need to miss work. What a great place to visit!
These meets are amazing and there will be some top notch competition.

There is a Masters long course "tune up" meet coming up in June in Plano
(Plano Wetcats) if your aspirations are more modest. The meet information is
at the pool and it is a one-day competition on June 16. Dallas Aquatics
Masters (DAM) will also be putting on their usual SMU meet and a pool
2K/5K/10K.

The entries period is also open for 2007 USMS Long Course Nationals - you
can enter online at http://www.usms.org . The meet is just down the road at
The Woodlands. Please let Ric know if you are planning to attend as normally
FAST would be on training break leading up to the meet.
