  GREAT News for FAST!!
We can officially announce today that from his performances at the
Pan-American Games in Rio deJaneiro, FAST's own Camilo Becerra has been
selected to attend the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing, China.
Camilo sealed the deal with a fantastic swim of 22.63 seconds in the 50
meter Freestyle in Rio. This time took him from somewhere outside the top
100 in the World and placed him in the top 30 (pending final FINA results).
And with a little more time dropped, (about 2/10ths of a second), he has a
chance of making the finals next year.
Camilo will also be competing in the 100 Meter Butterfly in which he swam
a 54.49.

Not bad for our little ol' team from Fort Worth to have 2 successive
Olympics with swimmers from FAST represented. Everyone on FAST should take
pride in this as placing a swimmer at the Olympics not only takes a lot of
hard work on the part of the swimmer and the coach, but they also need a
great program and team to be able to draw strength and stability from.

  Congratulations Camilo!
   Beijing Bound!!!!
