[FAST News] Weather Contingency Plan

To all FAST parents and swimmers.

  As we can see today there is a possibility of inclement weather including 
some snow.
  While the forecast is for no ice and temperatures not to get to the point 
where bad roads will occur, this is Texas and we all know that this could 
change.

  As it stands (noon Thursday), yes we WILL have practice tonight.
  If that changes due to a FWISD shut down (the only way we will cancel 
practice tonight), we will try to get the word out.

  Since our webmaster Nancy French is not available today due to her surgery 
(and our thoughts are with her today) and Head Coach Ron will be attending 
TAGS this afternoon/evening, there will be no way to update the website 
later this afternoon if conditions were to arise that would force us to 
cancel practice so team members can check.

  If Coach Ron receives word from the FWISD that Wilkerson is going to 
close, he will place a message on the team telephone voicemail to indicate 
the change.
  If you have questions as to if there is practice, you can call that number 
at (817) 874-5655.
  Please note that if there is the normal FAST message, that indicates all 
practices are going ahead as normally scheduled.  The message will ONLY be 
changed if practices are to be cancelled.  And the telephone will not be 
answered as Coach Ron will probably be in the middle of the TAGS swim meet 
and will not be near the phone.

  We ask that if weather conditions worsen you use best judgement.
