[Fort Worth Area Swim Team Mailing List]

A couple of notes for this week at FAST:

 *  Please remember that the FAST Annual Awards Banquet is Monday May 12th starting at 5:00p.m.  It is RSVP, so please make sure to pick up a sign up form at the pool.  This is always a fun event and we would like to see as many swimmers and parents come out as possible.

 *  GOOD LUCK to our FAST Masters who will be travelling to Austin this week to compete in the United States Masters Nationals.  We know you will swim great!

 *  Please remember that starting next week (Monday May 5th) we will be moving to summer hours.  This means that ALL practices (ALL groups) will be starting 30 minutes earlier which also means that practice will end 30 minutes earlier.  Please make sure to make arrangements to that pick up of swimmers is timely with regard to the end of practice.

 *  The newsletter will be online either later today or early tomorrow.  We have had some late submissions and it should be out shortly and will be posted online.

 *  Please be on the lookout for the "Calendar of Meets" that will be arriving soon after this email.  The Coaching Staff has picked the meets that FAST will attend during long course season.  To avoid confusion that may have occurred with all meets being posted, we will be passing along the meet list that we are attending to clarify things.  If the meet is on the calendar, we will be attending.  If it is not on the calendar, then FAST is not attending as a team.  There was confusion as to the B/C meet this coming weekend which FAST has not scheduled to attend.  Hopefully this will help all parents in their planning.

  *  FAST is hosting the May 16-18 "A" swim meet.  This meet has been MOVED to the Southlake Natatorium due to a conflict of usage at Wilkerson.  However it is still our hosted meet, which will mean that we still need volunteers to help run the meet.  If you are able to help out, please pop into the pool and sign up on the bulletin board.  There are many different jobs that need to be done in order to make a successful swim meet go.  Even if your swimmer is not attending the meet, this is a team wide need and volunteer hours can be earned by helping out at this meet.
