[FAST News] FAST Swimmer Drop Off/ Parking Tonight

Parents and Swimmers, please NOTE:
  Wilkerson has been designated this evening as an "Outbound" processing 
center for buses/vans for people returning to Louisiana after Hurrican 
Gustav much in the same way as it was used over the weekend by FEMA as an 
"Inbound" transportation hub.

   We have been alerted by Facility Manager David Guerra that FAST parents 
and swimmers will need to use "Gate 4" for entrance and exit from the pool 
this evening.
  This is the entrance on the EAST side of the building directly opposite of 
doors we usually use for access to the pool (our main door is on the west 
side).
  Please also be advised that entrance at the normal west side doors we are 
used to will not be allowed by the Fort Worth Police Department and that any 
parents driving through the fire lane or stopping to drop off swimmers at 
the curb or parking at the curb will result in immediate ticketing as that 
area/lane will be used by the transportation vehicles stopping to process 
evacuees as they leave.
  Please understand the FWISD does not have control over this 
parking/driving situation as this has been set up by FEMA and the FWPD.

  We appreciate the understanding in this slight deviation in our normal way 
we come and go from practice, and the pool area, seating area and foyer will 
remain accessible to us just like normal.  But we wanted to get this 
information out to all our parents mainly to avoid confusion and more 
importantly avoid someone getting a ticket from the FW PD.  Not a nice 
surprise on a Thursday evening.
